A magnificent example of mid-century French copper artistry, this large fruit mold showcases a stunning relief of pears, cherries, berries, and leaves — a lavish composition that once crowned elaborate French desserts. The deep repoussé design, surrounded by a beaded border, gives this mold an architectural presence that captures the light beautifully whether hung on the wall or displayed on a kitchen shelf.

Measuring an impressive 13.5" x 11.5" x 4", this moule à fruits was likely crafted in Villedieu-les-Poêles, Normandy — the centuries-old hub of French coppersmithing — and is attributed to Lucien Lecellier, whose workshop produced molds and cookware marked “L. Lecellier, Modèle Déposé.” His craftsmanship was known for its heavy-gauge copper, fine casting, and perfect tin linings that made each piece as functional as it was beautiful.

Stunning fruit is perfect for any time of year, we love it for the abundant Thanksgiving season.

Intended for grand entremets or molded jellies, charlottes, or even savory pâtés, moulds like this were the showpieces of a formal table, their intricate designs creating edible sculptures when unmolded. Today, it remains a breathtaking collector’s piece — an heirloom fragment of the French kitchen’s golden age.
