Antique, Double Spouted Chinese Tea Pot

Sale price  $255.00 Regular price  $365.00
Description

Here is an exquisite antique! A collectors piece to be sure.

A dual-chamber Chinese teapot. I have been unable to date it by the stamp on the bottom accurately, but you will see from the photographs its rarity and age.

This teapot has two chambers (serve oolong and green tea at the same time) and two curved spouts. The lid is in excellent condition, but due to its age, the pot is stained. Literally tea-stained.

I am also posting the SOLD page from First Dibs for an almost identical pot that sold for $4,000. I don't believe this pot is worth that much as I can not place the dynasty based on the stamp. If it is, then good for you and bad for me:)

It's very hard to read compared to other Chinese stamps that help you understand the age of an item. Nonetheless, it is an antique and in beautiful condition.

It is a fine piece and reminds me of something one might see at Giverny (though Monet's pieces lean more Japanese.)
