Description
Cherry Galette Crock Candle | Cerises
Scent: Cherry Galette, Cherry & Toasted Almond
A little candle with the soul of a French pâtisserie.
Imagine a rustic cherry galette cooling on the kitchen table: rich cherry, the warm sweetness of toasted almond, and that lovely sense of something delicious just out of the oven. This petite candle captures the mood of a slow afternoon, a cup of coffee, and a little indulgence.
Its cream-colored, crackle-glazed crock wears a cluster of deep red cherries and the word Cerises—French for cherries. It is just the sort of little treasure we love tucked among old books, porcelain, and favorite flea-market finds.
In the spirit of our other crock candles, it is something lovely to enjoy now and keep for decorative display long after the final flicker.

A note on these one-of-a-kind crocks
Each crock has its own character, so shape, dimensions, glaze color, crazing, surface texture, and age-related markings may vary slightly. The cherry illustration and French Cerises lettering are a decorative transfer, not an original antique maker’s mark. Please contact us before ordering if you would like details about the specific crock available.
Candle Care & Fire Safety
- Follow all instructions on the candle’s safety label. Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each lighting and keep the wax free of matches, wick trimmings, and other debris.
- Keep a lit candle within sight at all times. Extinguish it before leaving the room or going to sleep.
- Keep away from children, pets, drafts, and anything that can catch fire.
- Place upright on a stable, heat-resistant, nonflammable surface, away from edges and combustible decorations.
- The crock becomes hot. Do not touch or move it while lit or while the wax is liquid; allow it to cool completely before handling.
- Do not burn longer than the candle maker’s recommended time, and never more than four hours at a time.
- Stop burning when ½ inch of wax remains. Extinguish immediately if the flame becomes unusually high, the vessel leaks, or any crack or other damage appears. Do not relight a damaged vessel.
- Use a candle snuffer to extinguish; never use water. Allow the candle to cool before relighting.
- After the candle is finished, keep the antique crock for decorative use only; do not use it for food or drink.
