Bienvenue!
I’m Angela… and I’ve always been an old soul.
My childhood hero was Diana, Princess of Wales: resplendent in ivory silk taffeta with the longest wedding gown train the world had ever seen. I watched her every move in my formative years, learning about fashion, etiquette, formality, and presentation.
Eventually I my obsession went found its way across the channel, where I fell in love with the romance and allure of Paris. By fifteen, I was a red-lipped, hard-core Francophile, and I’ve never looked back.
All of this “training” took place in between trips to my favorite place on earth—my grandparents’ farm. There, I pulled weeds, snapped beans, washed radishes, and shadowed my precious grandmother as she hung blue jeans on the line.
One side of me was raised in glamour and aesthetics. The other side grew up loving open fields and the feel of soil in my hands.
From both of those worlds came two steady themes—a preference for femininity, and a deep love for times gone by and just about everything that came with them (except for not having penicillin. They can keep that).
Now, as a grown woman with six children of her own, it’s my greatest joy to share with you all the ways I find to bring my two great loves together: adding old-world design and style to my home and garden, sharing my version of Paris with fellow travelers on curated trips, and living a French-inspired life with my family on our farm every day.
If you’re pragmatic and fanciful, tough and fashionable, set in your ways but still looking for inspiration—welcome. Kick off your heels (or your wellies) and make yourself at home.
I am Parisienne Farmgirl, and I’m delighted you’re here.
